Welcome to

Jay’s Tree Farm

Open Black Friday through the weekend before Christmas

Our Trees

The farm features Scotch Pine, White Pine, Canaan Fir, Douglas Fir and Fraser Fir trees. You are welcome to cut your own tree, or we can help you. We supply saws and carts to cut your tree and supply twine to tie your tree to your sleigh.

New inventory of fresh cut trees are continuously being brought out which gives you a selection of over 100 trees to choose from on our fresh cut rack. We have a nice selection of Large Trees ranging from 9 to 12 feet. Please text us at 317-834-3804 for our current, up-to-date selection.

All customers are treated with full service which includes cutting, shaking, wrapping and loading the trees. Drilling the bottom of the trees is also available for those specific kind of tree stands requiring the hole. We accept cash and card.

Each tree is priced individually. Price ranging from $15-$20 per foot depending on size, variety, and tree shape.

In addition to our trees, we sell drill stands and fresh made wreaths.

If you are interested in purchasing Christmas Trees Pre-Thanksgiving, please text us at 317-834-3804 for available dates and times.

Scotch Pine

The Scotch Pine has historically been the most popular Christmas tree in the U.S. It is known for its firm branches and excellent needle retention. It is well suited for heavy ornaments.

White Pine

The White Pine has long, soft, flexible needles and is bluish-green in color. White Pines have good to excellent needle retention, but have little aroma. They aren’t recommended for heavy ornaments.

Canaan Fir

Canaan Fir is a newer variety that is becoming a very popular choice as a Christmas tree. Canaan fir has a firm branch with soft short needles. It has characteristics similar to both Balsam and Fraser fir.

Douglas Fir

The soft needles of the Douglas Fir are dark green to blue green in color and are approximately 1 – 1 ½ in. in length. The Douglas Fir needles radiate in all directions from the branch. When crushed, these needles have a sweet fragrance.

Fraser Fir

The Fraser Fir trees are dark blue-green in color, have a pleasant scent, good form and excellent needle retention. The Fraser Fir branches are firm and turn slightly upward with a soft short needle.

About Jay’s Tree Farm

Jay’s Tree Farm is a family owned business that has been selling trees for over 20 years. The farm is located just west of Indianapolis in Mooresville, Indiana with a total of 20 acres of trees. We open sections of that 20 acres to cut from.

Customers can enjoy a free cup of apple cider or buy a cup of hot cocoa and cookies for charity to enjoy by the bonfire while their tree is processed.

You are welcome to bring your dogs as long as they are on a leash and you clean up after them if they make a deposit.

Professional Photography Policy
We do allow Photographers to bring in clients to the farm, but we require that you contact us to set a time. The month of November before Thanksgiving is the time frame to set appointments. We have $100 fee per day which goes to the Cystic Fibrosis charity fund.

See what people are saying

I’ve been visiting Jay’s Tree Farm ever since I was a kid. Choosing our own tree, cutting it down, and bringing it home was a family tradition full of great memories. I’m glad to pass this experience along to my own kids as well.
